（KT300）KOENEN TEST

Designed for determination of thermal sensitivity of solid and liquid substances.

APPLICATION

Koenen test is used to determine the sensitiveness of solid and liquid substances to the effect of intense heat under high confinement. Samples of the test material are confined in a steel tube fitted with an orifice plate at the top end. Data obtained from the Koenen test can be used in determining a substance’s shipping classification and for evaluating the degree of venting required to avoid an explosion during processing operations.
