（ESD LS30- MIL）LARGE SCALE ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE

The ESD LS30 (Instrument for Large Scale Electrostatic Discharge Sensitivity Test) is designed for the classification of large charges of energetic materials through a series of intensive electrostatic discharges with the energy of up to 15.6 J at 30 kV in accordance with standards and requirements. The ESD LS30 is capable of testing various types and amounts of solid or granular sample forms weighing up to several kilograms. This workhorse is able to perform single or consecutive repeated discharges.

APPLICATION

The ESD LS30 simulates possible real-world scenarios of accidental ignition of large charges of energetic materials. ESD LS30 is applicable for the testing of the ESD susceptibility of large sized solid materials. The ESD LS30 is used throughout the world in manufacturing of energetic materials; however, the ESD LS30 is not suitable to examine the exact energy levels necessary to initiate granular energetic materials samples.
